Stephan:   I cannot think of a clearer explanation as to how once again a Dark Ages is being created by religious fanatics. It isn't the first time. Early Christians burnt the Alexandrian library and hounded and persecuted classical scholars until ignorance prevailed and Theocratic Rightism dominated. The same process is underway again by modern Christians as this astonishing report spells out. The first impulse is to laugh, oh look at those weird people, but these people are profoundly dangerous and actively seek to overturn a fact-based world. Just as an aside note particularly their view of the Sun.

Accelerated Christian Education is a fundamentalist school curriculum used in a claimed [3] 6,000 schools and 145 countries. Despite the name, education is actually second to its stated primary purpose [4], which is “to diligently teach our children to love the Lord in every sphere of their lives, with all their hearts, all their souls, and all their minds,” according to its website. [4]

ACE explicitly says [4] its intention is that students should not have any knowledge of anything contrary to the Bible. In practice, students are taught gross distortions and misrepresentations of mainstream science, like these 33 bizarre multiple choice questions [5] from the ACE coursework.
