DUBLIN — Steorn, the technology development company, has announced the deadline for scientists/engineers to submit their detailed academic qualifications following receipt of their initial applications to test Steorn’s free energy technology. Steorn’s technology is based on the interaction of magnetic fields and allows the production of clean, free and constant energy. The technology can be applied to virtually all devices requiring energy, from cellular phones to cars. Steorn placed an advertisement in the Economist on August 18th inviting ‘the most qualified and the most cynical’ scientists to step forward. More than 5,000 responses were submitted by the deadline of 12 midnight, September 8th. Steorn has requested details on academic and professional qualifications from all applicants and has set the final deadline for their receipt at midnight, Thursday October 5th. From 9th October, Steorn will begin contacting applicants on its shortlist to establish their availability as potential jury members. This part of the process should take two weeks, approximately. From those who have responded to Steorn’s challenge, 12 will be invited to take part in a rigorous testing exercise to prove that Steorn’s technology creates free energy.
